The Backwater

The film involves a 17-year-old boy named Shinogaki Tooma who lives with his father and his father’s new girlfriend in an isolated riverside town. Tooma is affected by witnessing the sexually abusive behavior of his father every day, and finds it difficult to avoid repeating the same behavior in his own life.
