In the Qing Dynasty, two county magistrates in remote Linjiang County were killed by pythons one after another, and the people were panicked.
The Imperial guards, Su Qi Er and Tie Qiao San, were ordered to Linjiang County to investigate the python murder case. They came to Linjiang City and found that the locals worship the python gods, and the people are in dire straits. The two are isolated and join the Beggar’s Gang to hide their identities.
