In the aftermath, humans are told of Zhao Yuan Zhou's heroic sacrifice, and people amongst themselves start to understand that demons are not all evil and humans aren't all good. Wen Xiao, Zhuo Yi Chen, and Pei Si Jing reunite briefly while still mourning their friends' sacrifices. before going on missions of their own. Wen Xiao is returning to the Wilderness to guard it, Pei Si Jing is now in charge of the Demon Hunting Bureau, while Zhuo Yi Chen sets off to wander the world trying to locate a part of Zhao Yuan Zhou's soul that he extracted much like his ancestor Bing Yi did with Ying Long, giving his friends and himself hope of the great demon's return someday.
